TAOREED LAWAL’S TAO GROUP SEALS AGRIBUSINESS DEAL WITH FOREIGN PARTNERS-SET TO EXPORT FARM PRODUCE GLOBALLY

Nigerian firm, Burgeon Agro Industries, a subsidiary of TAO Group, an indigenous multi-sectoral conglomerate, has signed an export Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with 2 Turkish companies, Mediterra Agro & Rasagra Gida.
The agreement which was signed in Istanbul, Turkey between the firms, will enable Burgeon Agro to export Agricultural commodities to African and international markets.

The symbiotic relationship will enable Burgeon Agro leverage on both Mediterra Agro and Rasagra networks of customers to sell its products across Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia – in countries like Cameroun, Turkey, Greece, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Ghana, Morocco, and India.

Speaking on the significance of the MoU, the CEO of Burgeon Agro Industries, Taoreed Lawal, described the partnership as significant. Saying “It creates a huge platform where the produce of our rich soil in Nigeria can be exported and used for greater purpose. This will in turn boost our economy, create more jobs as well.”

“So, overall, Nigeria will be the ultimate beneficiary especially with Turkey's agricultural economy been among the top ten in the world and Nigeria been one of Turkey's largest trade partners in Africa. ” Taoreed added.

Both parties stressed the need to strengthen bilateral economic ties at the signing ceremony especially after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Nigeria recently.
